10" standard capacity cartridge provides effective nitrate reduction.
Details:
Details:
This cartridge utilizes a strong base, nitrate selective, anion exchange resin specifically designed for high-capacity nitrate reduction from drinking water. Unlike other products used for this purpose, this resin has a higher affinity for nitrates than sulfates, therefore preventing the “dumping” of nitrates in the presence of sulfates, even if the cartridge has run past its normal service life. This special media is capable of reducing nitrate content of feedwater that begins as high as 20 ppm to below .5 ppm. The filter body is constructed with high-grade polypropylene, sonic welded to assure a hermetic seal and overall reliability. This cartridge will fit all standard 10” housings. Service life of the LW10NRC depends on the amount of nitrate in the water. Its capacity is 4,000 ppm. This means that if water has 4 ppm of nitrate (average for most well water that has nitrates), the cartridge has the capacity to clean 1,000 gallons of water. If water has 8 ppm of nitrate, the cartridge’s capacity will be 500 gallons.
