Cartridge, 10Ó, LW10NCSTMF, .03 micron absolute, Dual Stage NanoCeram with Ster-O-Tap Ultrafiltration Insert
This revolutionary new 10Ó standard microbiological filter uses nanotechnology to provide 8 log (99.999999%) reduction of bacteria, cysts, molds, and spores, and 4 log (99.99%) reduction of virus, all without the need for power, high water pressure, or water waste.
Details:
Conventional methods such as RO, UV treatment or chemical disinfectants only partly and inadequately inactivate micro-organisms. This is because water temperature, pH, turbidity and other external factors, as well as the relative resistance of micro-organisms to disinfectants, influence their effectiveness. In Contrast, this 10Ó standard cartridge combines the latest achievements in nanotechnology to provide 8 log (99.999999%) reduction of bacteria, cysts, molds, and spores, and 4 log (99.99%) reduction of virus, all without the need for power, high water pressure, or water waste. The outer shell is a NanoCeram pleated filter cartridge uses electropositive nano fiber filter media to provide unusually high flow rates, yet extremely efficient filtration. This material was developed in conjunction with NASA to purify recycled water in advanced space vehicles, and received the Space FoundationÕs Hall of Fame award for 2005. It is coupled with a Ster-O-Tap microfiltration element manufactured by PrimeWater of Germany. The Ster-O-Tap ¨ low pressure membrane technology of Prime Water International incorporates asymmetric micro-porous capillary membranes which provide very high flow rates and low pressure drops, yet offer a consistent and efficacious solution to biological control. Ster-O-Tap ¨ membranes remove in excess of 1 million ( 10 6 ) times more organisms or particulate matter than the highest rated carbon blocks, ceramic filters or UV sterilizers. To provide our customers with assurance that this product can produce consistently safe water, each cartridge is extensively tested for integrity before shipment. Extensive testing by VITO, the independent Flemish State Research Institute and a variety of other test institutions in Europe and the USA is carried out on an ongoing basis to confirm in house test results.
