Purpose
This AquaClean Backwashing Chemical Removal Systems with Catalytic Activated Carbon provides efficient removal of hydrogen sulfide and low levels of clear water iron, as well as other water-born chemicals that can cause off-tastes and odors, as well as chlorine, MTBE, perchlorate and hormone residues. Most importantly, this unit can efficiently reduce chloramine which is rapidly replacing chlorine as the disinfecting agent of choice. This system is designed for a large family with a 4 to 6 bath home.
Details
Chloramine (which is a mixture of chlorine and ammonia) is very persistent in water and very difficult to remove. In sensitive individuals chloramine in bath or shower water can cause skin irritation. Chloramine in drinking water can cause gastric irritation.
This unit is designed to remove chloramine in service flows up to 12 gpm. It features a a premium high efficiency tank size of 21" x 62" fitted with a premium electronic backwash valve manufactured by Clack Corporation, 1" distributor with top distributor, and 5 cubic feet of catalytic activated carbon media for superior performance. On-site assembly required.
What's Included
System includes an an 21" x 62" tank filled with 5 cubic feet of premium Centaur® catalytic activated carbon. Tank is fitted with a premium quality Clack digital automatic backwashing valve, integrated bypass valves, and 1" PVC or 3/4" or 1" copper installation kit (please specify when ordering.) All you will need is what it takes to bring the water to where you want the system installed. Price does not include freight.
